Way to the Jungle 03

Anne searched around the edge of the wall, and she found the corner of the wall. A corner! That means the wall still has a long way to go, and this may possibly means the walls are circling around something, maybe a castle…

“A city wall,” Anne said to herself.

“Anne! Where are you going?” Grace followed her footsteps and found Anne walking along the edge of the wall, searching for something, then she stopped.

“I have been to the same place twice…” she said breathlessly, sitting on the ground.

She continued after she took the bottle of water Grace gave her, “I supposed there is something inside this city wall, but it doesn’t even have a gate.”

Grace was too busy chasing Anne that she hadn’t even take a look to the wall. At the momment she looked at it, she discovered a hole on it wisely, which was only enough to allow the girls to peek through.

“A jungle!” Grace was so suprised that she screamed at the top of her voice.

“What?” Anne couldn’t believe her ears. How could there be a jungle in the forest?

Just a second, Grace winked at Anne. They knew that it was an adventure!

They searched for years, and centuries, and lives, but there was just no entrance to the jungle. The secret jungle.

“How can we get into the jungle?”

Grace thought for a while, then she revealed the gaps between her teeths. “If you want to get in, you will get in there!”

Anne looked at Grace as if she had turned mad.

“Believe me, Anne.” Fast as lighting, Grace was already in a tree, holding a branch.

“Watch out!” It’s too late. Grace fell down, landing on the another side of the wall.

To be continued…
